I just saw the rerun on Jesse, I agree he is a dork, I like Trish and I think she was the only one I liked. Shes not a sleeze, shes single, hello, and if she slept with a married man, thats not her problem its the sleeze bag she slept with. I would love to see her in her own show. As for Jenny the spy if that aint sleezy, shes got alot of nerve calling Trish a sleeze. Tara is an idiot, Jessica is nice. I would love to see them spruce up on this show. Like maybe having cat fights, I mean real ones, beat the **** out of each other. Spit in the Bachelors face if you dont get a rose, things like that. No more goody goody stuff. Im getting bored ABC think of something good. Every other reality show has so put your thinking caps on and give us some real smut, we all know its fake anyway so make it exciting.
I was watching Entertainment Tonight and they showed us the guy that will be the bachelor in the upcoming 13th season and... you know the rest. I think that either the creators and/or whoever is responsible for casting are a bunch of racists; I really find it hard to believe that there aren't any black, Hispanic or Asian guys that are interested in becoming a Bachelor.
I am constantly appalled at the wanton behavior of the women who vie for the bachelor's favor. Of course, they have easy access to liquor; they are persuaded by the bachelor that they are wonderfully perfect, beautiful, desirable, and God's gift to mankind. Fed daily does of that kind of flattery and urged by producers to WIN a rose no matter WHAT IT TAKES--only a woman of inner strength and high morals would come out of the experience unscathed. And I fear that kind of woman does not apply for a chance to be on the program.
I have never seen an episode of this show until now, in its 12th season...and I can say if I want to watch the rest because of one main thing...A fella from the UK is this season's bachelor...okay that's cool until how they sell the idea that 25 of "America's top women" are waiting to meet him. If I remember correctly, The U.S. isn't fully represented by (no offence)... 24 WHITE women and a token woman of color. I would be highly embarrassed to tell this British man that we can only offer him a selection of women that he can find in Europe let alone the UK... and not see the real beautiful palette of diversity among American women.
For a lack of a better word...please.

In this episode I saw, he was drawn to lady who lived in the UK before. That might be the whole season there...I can only watch enough out of entertainment, but I must say the producers need to wake up...
Another season of The Bachelor is upon us and, yes, it's another white guy, but what makes matters worse is that this time the guy is from jolly ol' England. The fact that the producers went across the pond to choose a bachelor for this season rather than choose a man of color from the US tells me that maybe this is a racial issue.
This show is demeaning on so many different levels to anyone who takes part in it in any manner, whether as a contestant or a member of the audience. It makes men look like nothing other than dogs and women like nothing other than scheming, manipulative whores. What kills me the most is that everybody knows that this, and every other piece of "reality" dreck currently clogging the airwaves, is completely fake and scripted, yet they watch it anyway. I honestly fear for the future of our country.
We must protect the sanctity of reality television marriages.

LMFAO
Lets see some truth in advertising and rename this show to
"Which whore wants to sleep there way into this guys bank account"

Come on seriously the guys they put on the show look like they just walked out of GQ magazine and are rich and they cant meet some one on there own.

Please america isnt that stupid, well maybe the desperate lonely housewide is. Even though the loney housewife will still consider the girls on there 1st class escorts.

Every woman on there is going to tramp her self out for the money and the guy is going to be a guy and enjoy every last one then call his buddys up and tell them the score.

Make a show where common average income people have a chance to meet someone on the show and in the end if america thinks there honest and scincer and they get married then give them a huge cash prize.
. . . also, of the only two couples still together that ABC brought out at the AFRC, one of the girls was arrested shortly after it aired for beating on her bachelor.
So, despite all the talk, excuses, bitter tears, frustration, and ABC attempt at damage control, the summary for the hour-long AFRC and the whole season in which no one was picked, was, in my opinion,

Girls: "Why?"
Bachelor: "I lied."
I think what the poster meant was that both the electric shocker and the bachelor hurt innocent people for money. It's a good analogy.
The women on this show know exactly what they are doing. This is now the 11th season of this show so I would think by now the women should pretty much have an idea what could happen to them. I think most are on this show to further their careers or for publicity. None of the relationships work out after the show because they are not allowed to see each other between the time the filming ends and the end of the show and the romance dies away. Also, the show is set up like a fairy tale. When the romantic dinners, hot tubs and mansions go away they see that they are not so crazy about each other and were just caught up in the moment. The poster who compared this show to old school electric shock experiments is as out of touch with reality as this show is.

One more thing! I agree with other posters who have said that this show needs more ethnic diversity. The ratings will still stay high.
The only thing "real" about this reality show is the unconscionable hurt inflicted on these female contestants. The camera doesn't lie. Their hurt is REAL.

Unlike us, they don't see the bachelor telling the same BS to all the other contestants, each girl thinking she is the most beautiful, the most amazing, and the only one he cares about, until she is blindsided in the end.

I don't enjoy seeing genuine--in some cases life-altering--hurt to another human being simply for TV ratings. Surely this concept could be presented in a more humane way.

But the bachelor and the producers get lots of money in the end, and that's the all important bottom line that trumps humanity with this show.

Each season the bachelors' narcissistic manipulation with lack of empathy reminds me of the experiment wherein individuals were paid to administer electric shocks for no apparent reason to people on the other side of a partition and 99 percent of them did so repeatedly--even after hearing their "victims" scream out--simply because they were paid to.

Shame on each bachelor and on ABC.
What a show: the bachelor tells the camera he's going to tell Hillary he's just not that into her, but it comes out muddy and way open to interpretation. So Hillary predictably misinterprets his sentence fragments to mean that she's the best thing that ever happened to him.

Then when she is not given a rose, she is stunned, shocked, hyperventilates, and is inconsolable.

The bachelor is bewildered and upset, trying in vain to comfort her; the producers are ecstatic; and I have no clue as to why I am watching every minute of this insanity.
Um...this show is the HEIGHT of stupidity! Representing the WORST of Western Culture! Of course, I have watched the show off and on for years! I agree, the producers SHOULD feature a bachelor/bachelorette of color to keep it interesting! So yeah, this show probably JTS Season 1! But somebody is watching and advertisers are spending $$$ so ABC won't pull the plug on it! Oh, one more thing...does anyone get annoyed that in movies/t.v. commercials, you will have a lead male WHITE character and he's either paired with a WHITE woman or ASIAN woman??? But...you never see a WHITE actor with a gorgeous African Amercian woman or East Indian woman or Latina...?? I see this over and over and it's so obvious that the higher ups in the media/advertising are white males that desire Asian women and are trying to make it the norm by featuring those pairings in t.v./movies/print ads. It' s pure "Agenda pushing". And it makes me sick!
