Shark Bytes

Lee Majors is a class of actors all to themselves. OK, that sounds pretty fatuous, but it seems to me either people love them (others I would include would be Ryan O'Neal, David Caruso, Sonny Tufts, and Cher). He can't sing, but who cares? Neither can I but John, Paul, George, and Ringo don't seem to mind when I become the fifth Beatle whenever I am playing their music in the car. Oh so where am I going with this? Nowhere really. This was a jellybeans for the mind kind of show. Characters and plots that were comfortable to some and predictable to others. My advice to those who think it's too low-brow? Don't watch, or better yet, watch it and have fun with it. My only complaint is that I never saw an episode where John Saxon was the villian, a la the classic "Six Million Dollar Man" episode where he played a binoic commie.

COLT WAS BASED ON A COMBINATION OF BURT RENALDS "HOOPER" AND CLINT EASTWOOD'S "EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE" IT TOOK JUST THE RIGHT GUY TO PULL THAT OFF. MAJORS WAS A STAR AND CARIED THE SHOW IN THE SAME WAY CLINT OR BURT WOULD HAVE RIGHT DOWN TO THE SINGING JUST LIKE CLINT DID IN HONKY TONK MAN. FINALLY ANOTHER SALUTE TO HEATHER- WHERE EVER YOU ARE.

I think this show jumped the shark when people starting mixing it up with 'Family Guy' at jumptheshark.com.

Family Guy should never jump the shark, because this show is downright funny. This show makes me wonder what will happen next. There’s an episode where Brain barrowed money from Stewie. Stewie asked Brain many times where’s my money. Brain told him I don’t have the money at this time. So the later on Brain walked out of the room. He saw Stewie playing gulf in the hallway. So Brain ran back in the room, and walked out with a mustache for a cover up. Stewie didn’t recognize him at first, and then realized it was Brain. So Stewie pushed him down the steps, and started beating him with a gulf club saying where is my money. The characters and their personalities pull this show together really well. I don’t understand how someone wouldn’t watch this show.
The characters
• Lois is the mom that tries to make things go the right way in the family. Her personality is one of the laid back characters with pretty much no flaws.
• Peter is the father that does pretty much anything he wants. His personality is crazy and has very little conmen sense.
• Meg is the daughter that tries to fit in with the family and at school. Her personality is need and gullible.
• Chris is the son that is dum as a rock just like his father. His personality is clueless.
• Brian is the dog that can talk and is pretty smart. He’s also an alcoholic and a smoker. His personality is smart and jokester.
• Stewie is the baby that is an evil genus that talks. He hates everybody around him. His personality is evil, jokester, and serious.

The Fall Guy, to me will always be fondly remembered.When that show aired it was in a time when T.V. was good and not profane. And the show had good story plot; action,adventure,and stunts. I watched this show often as a kid growing up in the 80's. And still do years later now. If only T.V. was the way it used to be. Thank You!, Glen Larson for the great T.V. shows you created and produced. And to Lee Majors, they couldn't found a better man for the job!

Wow, I like it so much. One of the best ever.

You know what? to the guy who stated that the theme song was the worst ever, you shouldn't watch tv then, because all of the theme songs are cheesy. They are what made the show watch-able in addition to the hookey acting. Look at all the others, Chips, Dukes of Hazard, Miami Vice. Etc... The theme songs were catchy and cheesy, but Ill bet you watched them all. They are a great part of American culture.

Interesting... In Holland this show was aired when Knightrider was very very populair. For us it seemed just like a Knighrider bandwagon series (fast cars, stunts, solving crimes).

I always dug that crossover epsiode, that feautred Lou Ferrigno (sp?) and several members of "Trauma Center", another short-lived 80s show..

The Fall Guy is currently in syndication on UK satellite Tv channel FiveUS. Whilst not being any great shakes entertainment-wise, any show that features the delectable Markie Post in her prime, cannot be all bad. Like most Aaron Spelling products, it is all done somewhat tongue-in-cheek, & the plots are usually wafer-thin & scarcely hang together, if at all. One episode guested my all-time favourite gorgeous babe Judy Landers wearing a bikini. That, for me, was reason enough to watch, & if you double her up with the aforementioned Markie, well theres another reason!.

Never jumped. pure cheese start to finish, gott admire it for that

Most memorable theme ever! As for the rest of the show, well....

Got to give a female opinion here. It's bunkum to say Lee Majors could not act; he could and he did. And as to the bikini scenes, well the only one I and his fans wanted to see topless was Mr. Majors himself, owner of the best body in the business - those bathtub scenes were just as ordered - often. As to singing? Well, I never heard Mr. Majors claim he could sing, but I tell you what he held a tune better than most I've heard today.

Pretty Boy Lee just can't act. OK in an ensemble cast (The Big Valley), but can't carry a show. He mumbles and can't change his facial expression. I've seen comatose stroke victims communicate better.
