Great show when it was first on the air. It can still be funny from time to time but it just seems like they try to hard when it came back.

There's been so many times i've turned to the show off mid-episode, because the jokes were so out of place and just boring.

Thurgoods stubs and PJsforever you are right on everything. There are other jumps. Peter naked all the time. He makes me vomit. Literally!! Brians' beastiality. That resulted in his human son. that was a huge jump. Horrible!!

I agree with "Thurgood Stubbs & PJs forever". I also want to say I liked the PJs. I wish it lasted longer, but at least they didn't stay on the air so long it went as bad as the rest of the shows. PJs was not racist, it was a satire against racism and stereotyping.

I agree with Kopfschuss it lost me with the pushing of McFarlanes' political views. One sided and really not that funny.

When Brian became a tool for MacFarlane to shove his political views down everyone's throats.

I think the show jumped the shark when just like Kootiebirdo said, young children started watching it. I can't stand those kids that only laugh at the violence in the show and don't get a single joke in the show.

Once children started watching it and began imitating the characters (especialy Peter Griffin).

I don't care if they're republican, conservative, democrat, or liberal, I can't STAND being bombarded with other people's politcal opinions.

Actually one of the things that bothers me most about FG is it's "Superfans" The idiots who think that just because a person doesn't like FG, they're humorless failures or some ****. **** those people. Family Guy is one of those garbage tv shows that just lowers everyone's standards of good TV, just like Carlos Mencia and MTV do. Drawing out a lame joke/noise for 2 minutes isn't funny. Referencing popular culture items (while half the time making NO attempt at making a joke) ISN'T funny. I too was once a fan of this show, but its changed SO much from what it once was, i'm glad the South Park team picks on the FG team too, i'm sick of seeing this shitty show every time i flip through the channels. It flat out TRIES to offend people, but not in a fun way, in a mean spirited way. It's not funny, it doesn't TRY to BE funny, it just PESTERS the viewers.

What about the constant hiatus? First it was the writer's strike, now it's just a hiatus... two months between new episodes? So they end up with a 6 episode season? It's pathetic. Family Guy is barely standing on it's last leg, it has become unwatchable, and quite frankly, they need to get rid of it once and for all to keep the small amount of dignity they had. I used to laugh until I cried at this show, but the this and the last seasons truly are sad. MacFarlane has just become way too greedy to do any work and Fox doesn't care one way or the other. Instead of canceling this crap, they cancel the one good show they have left, King of the Hill. R.I.P. Family Guy.

Brian having relations with humans is not great to watch but it is a cartoon, and a vulgar one at that, but that is what makes it fun to watch to see how shocking they can get! The show itself has it's funny moments and not so funny, but Brian can be annoying.Lois also
