Never Jumped
Day One
Death (Fry's dog)
The Star Trek spoof
Bender goes to hell
Shark Bytes
They cut it off before it had a chance to jump the shark. It included celebrities for no apparent reason as the simpsons does now, but for some reason it works. Perhaps it's just the concept of a man going to the future in a cartoon show that is so appealing and hilarious, but while it did have some simpsonsish moments, I don't think it even completely became a parody of itself.
I have to agree and say that I believe that Futurama never jumped the shark. It was funny in many different ways. There were plays on words and simple jokes for younger kids to be amused with, within the script there were adult undertones that can REALLY get you laughing, and it was a unique and priceless cartoon. Matt Groening definitely didn't disappoint.
Despite some of crude humor (the Slurm episode), this show DID actually manage to work in some good values - and I agree with many of the other people on here in saying that, at this point, I can't even WATCH the end of Jurassic Bark because I KNOW I'm going to cry. The Sting was another good episode - but that made me cry in a good way.
So, finally, this show is awesome, and hasn't jumped. And hopefully, with the releases of the movies, it will continue to be awesome.

What I hated about Futurama is that it was set in the 31 century but the characters acted like they were in the 20 century
Something tells me that one of the reasons the Simpsons is so horribly and poorly done now (in addition to being out of ideas, of course) is because Matt Groening and the Futurama team are bitter that so many people preferred the Simpsons to Futurama to the point where Futurama was taken off of Fox and eventually cancelled, and it's their way of getting back at Simpsons fans. Think about it: it was around the time that Futurama aired that the Simpsons started going downhill.
But I digress, Futurama was a good show. It and the Simpsons were two totally different sitcoms: The Simpsons was a realistic sitcom, while Futurama was a sci-fi sitcom hybrid. It's a shame Phil Hartman died before the show aired, he would have been GREAT. Which leads me to another reason the show didn't do as well as it could have. Not that Billy West didn't do a great job, he was terrific.

This is, IMO, the greatest animated show ever! I know that sounds nerdy, but with Jurassic Bark, Luck of the Fryish, Godfellas, they've really been able to add moral character to the show. It looks great because the characters are actually modeled in 3-D, unlike other animated shows. The movies, however, seem to be catering to the shock-value teenage crowd that Family Guy has captured. It's almost like Futurama is attempting to dumb itself down in order to get back on TV. I have all the seasons and both movies and will enjoy them for years to come. As much as I want new episodes, I'm afraid they will ruin what the show does for me.
Lisa Liu robots, or whatever her name is. Fry makes his own mate with a robot company. The professor shows him a movie about the dangers of falling in love with robots. HILARIOUS!
Great show, but the Harlem Globetrotters episode was WAY off! Bender is written completely out of character. Since when is he such a wimp? Shouldn't Fry be the one trying to be a Globetrotter? They are from his time. Speaking of "time", the time jumps with Fry and Leela were kind of a killjoy. Another sad episode for Fry.
This is the one show I can honestly say never jumped the shark. It is a fantastic comedy that also has real values and morals, ulike shows like Family Guy that thrive on stupid and offensive plots that even fart jokes are above. The animation was also better then most shows today, it really looked like the Palnet Express ship was traveling at warp speed. This is also the only cartoon that has ever made me cry-Jurrasic Bark.
I do have to say that I'm glad the show was cut short. That allowed it to be remembered as always great instead of sinking downhill in the later seasons until it is unrecognizable.

This show rocks its hilarious!! Zapp Branigan is so funny! Hate kif. Think if show had carried on fry and leela would have got togther tho which would have sucked noodles (yes bender phrase) Didnt cry at jurrasic bark found it hilarious personally (does that make me coldhearted?)
Futurama has never jumped the shark. It is an increadable show that the vast majority of it's viewers highly enjoyed. How many animated comedies can cause real emotion in the viewers? This show was nearly perfect and if Family Guy deserves a 2nd chance then this show sure as hell deserves another go, but this time with a set timeslot.
Truce I can only assume you didn't watch early episodes of The Simpsons (1989 - 1998) because the heart you see in Futurama was originally in The Simpsons, when Homer's mother came back then had to leave again it was really sad to see Homer sitting on the car watching the sky knowing he may never see her again.
As for Futurama it hasn't jumped, I think Fry being so stupid is annoying and uneccessary but it is a small part of a great show.

"The Luck of the Fryrish" and "The Sting" both made me cry. I can honestly say I've never seen a comedy that can make me tear up so fast.
I've never seen "Jurassic Bark" but since everybody's freaking out about how sad it was, I think I might watch it. Futurama's such a great show it never jumped.

I don't watch Futurama because it's funny. That's not to say that it's not funny, because it is, but the writing occassionally suffers to the point where Fry's dimwittedness isn't believable.
With that said, Futurama has a rich and diverse range of loveable characters, incredibly entertaining storylines and a consistency in quality which is unmatched IMO.
With the exception of That's Lobstertainment, I think Futurama would have to be one of the most consistent shows on TV.
My verdict: The show has never jumped. It has its flaws, but it's a very consistent and very entertaining show that priortizes storyline and character development over humour, and the creative team should be commended for that.

I teared up at the end of Jurrasic Bark too. Anyone who had/has a dog that they loved will relate. As far as the show, Matt Groening needs to get back at it.
One last though summed up in two words. SNOO SNOO.
