Jo Jo is actually Christy Canyon's sister. Check out the resembelance.
..despite the fact the Dean goes through women like Hugh Hefner.
I was just pointing out how this show is better. I have mild OCD, but that's about it. In my line of work, neatness counts. This program hasn’t drifted from its original premise.
Loved Joanne, hated that Egli chick and liked Robin, but the show itself is useless-

Hey Mark, you post this pointless Bob Vila hate all over. As far as I know Vila had nothing to do with this show. So why are you polluting the site with your own personal vendetta? Nobody cares. What personality disorder were you diagnosed with?
This describes Bob Villa perfectly:

Narcissistic personality disorder

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), is a personality disorder defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM IV-R), the diagnostic classification system used in the United States, as "a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and a lack of empathy." A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:

1. has a grandiose sense of self-importance
2. is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
3. believes that he or she is "special" and unique
4. requires excessive admiration
5. has a sense of entitlement
6. is interpersonally exploitative
7. lacks empathy
8. is often envious of others or believes others are envious of him or her
9. shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

The etiology of this disorder is unknown according to Groopman and Cooper. However, they list the following factors identified by various researchers as possible factors:

• An oversensitive temperament at birth
• Overindulgence and overvaluation by parents
• Valued by parents as a means to regulate their own self-esteem
• Excessive admiration that is never balanced with realistic feedback
• Unpredictable or unreliable care giving from parents
• Severe emotional abuse in childhood
• Being praised for perceived exceptional looks or talents by adults
• Learning manipulative behaviors from parents

Some narcissistic traits are common and a normal developmental phase. When these traits are compounded by a failure of the interpersonal environment and continue into adulthood they may intensify to the point where NPD is diagnosed. It has been suggested that NPD may be exacerbated by the onset of aging and the physical, mental, and occupational restrictions it imposes as can most personality traits.
I can find nothing on the internet on JoAnne's birthdate or birthplace. There's absolutlely no personnal information on her listed anywhere. How can soneone this public remain so aloof?
I liked the shows Robin was on. I can't get use to the new chick at all. I wish the Hometime websight would let you know what DVDs featured Robin and her nice little hinder, so I could buy them!
JoJo... after all these years I still pine for you.

dang it. Whurz my JoJo?
joanne(jojo) well she is one, hot tamale. hometime wasn't the same when, that sweet, sexy hellcat (joanne)left the show!!! granted i was very happy to, see my girl room to change, and on home savvy. but what i'm about to say, i mean it in a good way. robin hartl and suzanne egli, were good co-host for dean but joanne liebeler, was and always will, be the best!!!! and joanne has the most, beautiful legs,a leading diy-lady could ever have!!!!
Suzanne Egli was THE HOTTEST babe on the show period. She has the best @ss, cute little ti**ties, and a cute face. Robin wasn't too bad, but I couldn't stand the way she grunted and groaned with the slightest effort to make it seem she was hauling the whole load. Joanne was a diesel dyke. Nuff said there. I hope the show moves into the new era and gives Dean a man-wife. He wouldn't be doing as much bending over thats for sure.
JoAnne Liebler was great, she was also sexy. She went on to be in 'Seinfeld' as an actor and both wrote for and acted in 'Roseanne' before doing 'Home Savvy'. She also turned up in Snoop Doggs TV show. Robyn was manic and had very strange hairstyles. Founded a real estate company after she left. There were a couple more ex wives. One before Jo Jo and one between her and Robyn (who as I remember was a lot older than Dean).
The Second Log Cabin was the jumping point for me.
What a surprise! JoAnne Liebler back on Hometime. PBS, Vancouver BC area on Aug 26, 2007. Since I missed the beginning of the show, I don't know what capacity JoJo was in. When she was a regular, I made a point of watching. It was a sad day watching her last show! Some people you just never forget! Her and Dean had a rapport. Hometime remains a favourite of mine!

Jo Jo's a butch lesbian. C'mon guys! Robin's hot and I've seen her lift just as many 2x12's as Dean. Y'all need to get over it. Joann left the show in the early nineties. I will agree with most everyone by saying that when they acted as a couple, that was when it tanked for me. Can we say "continuity"? I didn't think so. If they were supposed to play a couple then they should have played a couple in every show. Did they think the audience was stupid?
Dean goes through women like Hugh Hefner, but at least most of the projects are affordable. This Old House has degenerated into a yuppyfest.
Replacing JoAnne with Robin was the beginning of the downward spiral. They clearly brought in Robin to try and make the show more appealing to women. Instead of hammers and sweat, we got how to pot plants and use lipstick to mark door jams. The new co-host can't even swing a hammer with one hand, and couldn't even get through one season without getting pregnant. It's a terrible shame, but there are no more good construction shows left on television.
