Whatever happend to Hilary??? I haven't seen her in any films or tv shows in like two years! Did she quit acting??? I haven't even seen her in any music stuff! She's just disapeared!
The last I saw her in was A Cinderella Story and Raise Your Voice.
And I am also annoyed that Disney Channel keeps making these shows with this same exact plot everytime: A 14 year old girl who is played by a girl who is like 22 in real life, is trying to get a hot guy that all of the girls ooh and aww over while trying to be popular and well known all over the school and has to battle her popular nemesis that she used to be friends with. And she has her two best friends, one male and one female,
by her side in every episode. And she has an annoying little brother who loves to make money by scheming and annoying parents who are always trying to be cool in front of her friends.
It's the same plot over and over again!!! I'm sick of it!!! And there is always this suggested romance between the girl and her male best friend, but they never dig to deep into that. Wasn't there actually an apparent romance between Raven and Eddie???
Cool site goodluck :) playbo

The show was fairly unrealistic. I mean, I'm her age now, and I don't act anything like that and neither do anyone at my school (middle school is more Juno than this.) But it's meant for 8-year-olds, not eighth graders, so who am I to judge?
Like many Disney shows, this show could have done well for any network, even for adults. The writing was witty and contemporary and each character and relationship really worked. I think Lizzie's friendship with Gordo was much more realistic than forcing her to be friends with only other girls. The mother on this show was hysterical, yet in a subtle way. She was the kind of Mom who almost thought she was cool and would embarass her kids, but not in an overbearing way. The character of Kate was the classic beauty queen/snob who viewers could love to hate. The whole show was sort of like a more mellow and humorous Wonder Years with the same message: growing up is both fun and painful, but worth the trip.....

i <3ed lizzie mcguire an i allwayz will the guy who played gordo woz cute.......................what evva happend 2 him after the movie he jus dissapeared?
It probably jumped when Lizzie had an affair with the paperboy who looked astonishingly like a young Gary Busey with a defective gene...

"Gee, yer purty..[snort!]"
"What a catch!"

This was the first Disney show to have the two-girls-and-a-boy-best-friend-trio formula, setting the pattern for That's So Raven, Hannah Montana, etc. Why does Disney always use this formula? I've never seen that combination of best friends in real life.
Never jumped--I LOVED it!!!! Closest it came to jumping was Lannie inexplicably not being able to speak, but only Matt can "hear" him...and when Kate and the other cheerleaders got to lead an anti-Lizzy cheer at a schoolwide pep rally (U G L Y You ain't go no alibi--you ugly!!!). What kind of faculty would let that happen and not throw Kate out of school? But I totally loved this show and otherwise thought it realistically portayed middle school life, cliques, popularity issues, etc. LOVE IT!!! : )

:-Di wish her show still come so i can play on disney channel.com her games bomb.
The show was unrealistic. =P
Seriously, though, I guess that kind of show is good for preteens, and I didn't much care, but when Hillary Duff started to pretend to be a "singer" I got pissed.
Basically, she got a studio to alter her voice to make it sound good, like they do with most music nowadays, then someone handed her a page of lyrics that are simplistic and repetative love songs to memorize. Then they marketed her face and the pop songs to preteens who liked her from this show, and people act like she's amazing.
She's good for tweens, but I just don't see her appeal to older audiences.
She has a long way to go from the lame ass "stumbles into trashcans" crap on Lizzie McGuire.
To all the people saying "not realistic"...of course it was!
Look, Lizzie was in...what? 7th and 8th grade during the show? When I was in 7th and 8th grade (i'm in 10th now), I dealt with mean popular girls, fitting in, crushes, dances, tough teachers, weird stuff at home, etc just like she did! Obviously they can't show drugs and sex on the Disney Channel, but how much of that do you honeslty see in a MIDDLE SCHOOL? You can say Naturally Sadie or That's So Raven are unrealistic, because they are in high school. But Lizzie was only 13!
I think the show was cool. I always liked it. I haven't seen it in years tho. I never really liked Miranda so it didn't bother me when she left. Larry Tudgeman was funny, and I liked it when Kate showed her human side. Gordo is like one of the best friends a person could ask for, though I will admit it was a little cliche that he had a crush on Lizzie.
