Never Jumped
Day One
Not That There's Anything Wrong with It (Neil Patrick Harris)
Moving (Willow and Lily)
Ted is a stalker
Shark Bytes
What does Neil Patrick Harris being gay have to do with anything? Blantant homophobia. I think that should be taken down.
Also, what does moving Willow and Lily mean? Alyson Hannigan played Willow on Buffy. What does that have to do with HIMYM?

Next to The Big Bang Theory, this is the best sitcom on CBS. The show is funny as hell and also has some touching moments as well, plus the cast is easy on the eyes which is a bonus.
This show - which I have enjoyed a lot - is sadly rapidly approaching the shark tank and will likely be making the dreaded jump soon.
The Barney/Robin thing is uncomfortable on a lot of levels. It destroys Barney's character as a comic force to have him in a possible LTR and also makes you wonder why Ted would continue to put up with Barney (this week there was more uncomfortable activity with Barney and Ted's sister - and a reference to Ted's mother and Barney. Is Barney just going to eventually do TED too???).
And the show is taking WAY too long in establishing the identity of the titular "Mother." How do any of these stories have ANYTHING to do with telling your kids about - wait for it, wait for it - HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER? It's getting old. Fast.

I thinks this show is very funny although I don't always laugh but you can find some cliches...I think it'll jump the shark if barney and robin get together...I seriously don't think it's a good idea 'cause his humour derives from the fact that he's a manwhore...and ok to barney and robin doing it but no couple, please!
I also think that all those flashbacks are cleverly written: I always manage to understand it and if they had other writers it might have been too confusing

rumour has it that they may change the show from a continuing story to a more traditional indivudual eposide sitcom. it hasnt jumped yet, but it they do that, it will.
I LOVE this show! Unfortunately, I just started watching this season. I usually don't like sitcoms because they're so lame and have smart-mouthed kids and not very funny. But, because there was nothing else on one night, I gave it a shot. I was alone and found myself laughing out loud! The lines are witty and the interactions are hilarious. I wanna hang out with these guys! I love the way they go back and forth when talking about stuff they did. It's really sharp. So, now I'm hooked. My DVR has one more show to record.
What I find ironic about the Goliath National Bank episode is that it aired just when it's all of a sudden not cool 2 b a bank these days (e.g. Washington Mutual or IndyBank) Perhaps a future episode would show the bank failure of GNB, although that could mean that Marshall wood b out of a job yet again. Also, I just learned that Alyson Hannigan is w/ child, so perhaps her pregnancy could b written n2 the show. After all, I'd like 2 hear old Ted talk about any nephews/nieces in his story of how he met the mother.
Well, it appears that Stella's gone, but it was still a stupid story line. These spread out 5 or 6 week story episodes are a complete waste of time. The ending never lives up to the hype.
Hasn't jumped... YET!
I don't like what I see in this season so far. It seems like evrybody is splitting ways. We'll see but as long as they can tie it all together with losing at the very most one character then it will be ok.

It's starting the jump with the introduction of Sarah Chalke as Stella. I am so tired of her from Scrubs. All she plays are whiney, high-maintenance, annoying roles. There's nothing even remotely likable or sexy about her character. If she ends up being the "mother" then the whole show was a waste.
How the hell is Neil Patrick Harris being a homosexual relevent to How I Met Your Mother jumping the shark?
Is this just latent homophobia or something? Or do people find it offensive that a gay actor plays a womanizer (remember people, he's acting).
Totally boggles the mind that something so irrelevent to the quality of the show is the third most common response.

After I posted a comment a few minutes ago, I got 2 read some of the L8est ones here & realised I've said something about Spears and Brady b4. & as for the goat episode, does this mean we have to c the goat again next season? & will the same goat story also be told? & incidentally, the show has 2 movie stars in Alyson Hannigan & now Jason Segel. I sure hope that the two will star in a film 2gether. I learned on Yahoo! Answers that they did do a movie together but if they do one now, they'll certainly have more recognition. After all, both have done some cuttin' edge comedies - Segel in "Knocked Up"; Hannigan in "American Pie."
Hey, how come I don't see any "Special Guest Star (Britney Spears)" votes on here? {I already cast that particular vote via email.} Shirley there have to be @ least forty-seven other people who think that her appearance on the sitcom could be just as detrimental as Wayne Brady's? & Spears is many times more famous or infamous as "the black guy on 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?'"
this show has potential to be a big hit. not all shows are immedietly successful, for example seinfeld wasnt that popular untill its 4th season, thats when it became a must see. If this show advertises better and recovers from the awful season three and make it more like season two, it will survive and may become a hit.
Just like Amanda Bearse on MARRIED...WITH CHILDREN and other actors I can't remember, just the fact that NPH could play a character so different from his real life shows that they were all better actors than we would give them credit for. The play's the thing.
The only problem I could see with the show is the fact that Ted's keeping his kids hanging until he actually tells them how he met their mother. If there's a connection between all that happened the last three seasons and that event, that'd be understandable. But I guess the makers want to make enough episodes for syndication.
