Never jumped.
Just having something change in a show does not automatically mean it's jumped the shark! The addition of the "build team", Grant, Tori and Kari for me was when the show really took off into something really great.
They provide a something different in their approaches to myths. And yea, they act goofy sometimes. That's kinda the point!
Great show, always has been. And the myth ideas are still original. A lot of them come directly from fan suggestions. These are the ones that get a little samey.

WHY are there so many people ragging on the announcer here? The announcer is a funny guy, and he's always been one of the best parts of the show. Oh well, then again, I shouldn't expect better from a group of people that gave a pretty large amount of votes saying the show jumped the shark when "Grant fixed his teeth"...
It's been sort of jumping in and out of shark territory for the last couple of seasons. Mythbusters still offers a number of cool myths to check out, I'm in agreement with Iumnsd here on the rest; Too many forced, sugary cute comedic moments from the build team and excessive "blow crap up" clips to satisfy rednecks just lowers the IQ of the show.
I just saw Kari flash a bunch of goats. I wish I was just some perv posting nasty stuff onlone, but I swear it just happened. What is that doing on the Discovery channel? I know this is supposed to be a science show with some laughs, but that was just over the top stupid, and a lame attempt to be "cutting edge."
Kari makes the show unbearable. When each myth is busted, she will be the first to run at top speed to the wreckage for inspection (watch back episodes to verify)...I can only hope that one day, she runs too fast, trips and impales herself on a piece of shrapnel. Also, in the episode of splitting a arrow in two, she was like "Myth Busted! unless you can prove to ME and show ME to MY face that it can be done"...You are nobody, woman. Myths don't have to be proved to you! I wish they left her on the water torture rack. Build team suck the life out of the show and are incompetent.
It hasn't jumped yet. Anyone who has ever seen the first season, and how unbelievably bad that was, knows that every other season since has been a huge improvement.
BUT... the build team (especially Kari) are trying to be funny and comedic and adorable and precious more than they ever have this season (and the last), and it has the stink of trying way too hard. Add in Adam's "funny" voices, and even the announcer (what used to be once of my favorite parts about the show, and the funniest guy on the show in the earliest seasons) as coming across as way too forced, and (as previously stated by someone else) the new emphasis on big explosions - and what you have is a suspicious looking fin in the water.

not really a JTS but after 2-3 solid months of promos for a new season they delay 2 weeks of episodes for no reason after starting on what could be called a lackluster opener at best.

Not to be un-pc...I mean I don't know how to say this,but I've always thought those MB guys were a tad "funny"...the bald guy's look makes me definitely think this.
I think kari is sexxxy! I'd like that little red head to back that thang up over this way! I gots some experiments that I'd like to test out! woo hoo!
I cannot believe that some people think the show jumped because Grant fixed his teeth! Honestly people, the man has a right to fix his teeth! I also don't understand why some people think that the show has veered from its format; they're still testing myths just as they always have.
