I never EVER watch television and this was the only show I found myself having to tune into every week. Who were the dummies with neilsen boxes that didn't watch the show?! i don't even know why they go by Neilson ratings. I have never heard of anyone having one!
We watched this every week. Loved it. It came on right before The X-Files, which I just thought was okay.
Naturally, the X-Files became a huge juggernaut that is still chugging along (in movie form) today, while Brisco slipped quietly into the goodnight after a single season.
Sigh.

Great show. Too bad the networks are too stupid to keep great shows on the air. Perhaps the networks were just catering more to the overall population, 95% of which is too stupid to understand a great show like this. The show featured one of the most entertaining actors of our time, Bruce Campbell. I liked the Dixie character too, and Sheena Easton was on a few episodes as well. Too bad Americans are too ignorant to watch something so intelligent and entertaining.
I loved the show, but when Brisco defeated Bly, I wondered what the driving force beyond Brisco would be. Don't get me wrong, I was curious.....
Oh! And that $80+ pricetag for the DVD? How did THAT come to be?

I loved the show but while I won't quite say it jumped the shark I will say the orb storylines were getting bizarre without followup. I think they were trying different ways to connect. But when they did, oh boy it was a great show. I still think highly of Carlton Cuse for creating it.
I loved this show. I really did. But it DID jump the shark when Briscoe finally fought and killed his arch nemesis (using all the powers of the orbs). The orbs were a great element to the show adding mystery and comedy and let's not forget that the reason Briscoe even became a bounty hunter was the villian had used the orbs to kill his father.
Episodes after that were good, but they seemed aimless. Hence the old shark jump.

I really liked T.A.O.B.C.JR., Brisco, Lord Bowler, Socretes, Dixie, Comet, the whole bunch. The people who cancelled the series jumped 'their own' shark!
I think this show never jumped the shark! I even liked the Terry Bradshaw 2-parter and I think people are too rough on it just because of Bradshaw's presence. If you watch it just for the story and ignore the jocks playing the renegade military men it's pretty cool! And who doesn't love Bruce, possibly the only man in the entertainment industry who doesn't take himself too seriously.
This show never jumped. It was destroyed by viewers too mundane to get the show's deft combination of SF, comedy, and westerns. This kept the ratings low and gave the anti-violence faction an easy victim. If the ratings were better, maybe the network would have defended it.
I still miss this show. One of the more creative shows on TV. At least they didn't end it at a random point.
Brisco County never jumped the shark. Unlike most shark jumpers, the show wasn't pushed on past it's appeal. They told the main story they set out to tell and let the show go out with dignity.
Of course, DVD sales for the show jumped the shark on day one with the tag being excess of $80 at some retailers (least I've seen it for was $75, that was on sale)

I had a neilsen box when this show was still airing new episodes and watched religiously, until they killed it. Still can't believe they didn't give it much of a chance. One of the only shows I was truly sad over being canceled.
What a great family show. Where the Saint meets Wild Wild West show. When I was at least 4 yrs old Mom and Dad let me watch Bonanza, Gomer Pyle, The Saint and 007 kids need good guy heros thats why Brisco is so cool. He is tuff as snuff and twice as dusty. All the cast is great Lord Bowler great stuff and how about Dixie meow. Fox in 10 years has cancelled 2 of the best shows since Magnum and Rockford Files where talkin Brisco and Firefly what is wrong with these cats at the helm. Put these shows on Saturday morning for Pete's sake. Ya know Robert Duvall said that English have Shakespear, German's have Vaugner, and French well who cares but he said Americans have their westerns its our thing its what we do. Hopefully sombody will get it we need westerns on. Little House on the Prairrie was good. I liked Stargate too another comedy with scifi in which they went to west world, medevil world, mongol world, and on and on. Luckly Brisco County Jr is on DVD now thanks to all the cast for quality tv much appreciated. Bruce Campbell is king of B movies which is so cool cause I love the B movies just the best.
This was an amazing show. It never jumped the shark, Fox just didn't give it a chance. It was very realistic, hilarious, original, professional, great acting, great story, and everything else about the show was almost perfect. They gave it the kill slot: Fri 8pm. This show could have done so well if they gave it the chance. Lord Bowler and Brisco were one of the best buddy buddy team-up on TV. This show never jumped the shark.
