Funny, I don't remember anything about this show except an episode about someone who was mute due to hysteria and who miraculously gained their voice in the end and that it had a character the name, "Silky Harris." Had no idea it was Roger Moore.
There was a "Hawaiians" show, too -- I guess in honor of those two places becoming states.

It was nice to see perennial bad guy Ray Danton in what I seem to recall was a non-villainous (but still shady) role. However it wasn't Roger Moore's first TV role. He'd starred as Ivanhoe on British TV before trying his luck in the States. And I remember the theme song too..."Got the fever, got the fever, go-o-old fever!"
This is a show that I never saw, only heard. We lived in California, and it was on too late for me to stay up. But I heard it, and it seemed that every episode had one scene in what must have been a saloon, and Dorothy Provine sang the same song. Week after week, the same song. One of the producers must have been the songwriter. I would love to see a couple of episodes of this antique.
Those were the days when westerns ruled ABC (most by Warner Brothers)- Maverick, Lawman, Colt45, Cheyenne, Sugarfoot, Bronco Layne - I hate to admit it but I can sing (way off key!) most of the theme songs - Who's that tall dark stranger there, Maverick is his name. The Alaskans just wasn't on long enough to jump, premiering at the end of that run.
